Finally, Hello World running on iPhone
Okay, after having spent 3 days digesting that 52 pages document on how to get an application onto the iPhone, I finally got it working. There are numerous certificates to sign and many steps to get yourself licensed to develop applications for your own iPhone. I have to install the iPhone SDK twice and download developer firmware software onto the iPhone. My timing was really bad, apparently iPhone software got updated a few days before the iPhone SDK got release. So, when I use the older iPhone SDK to develop software for the new iPhone firmware, it did allow me to download my software. I got notified of the new iPhone SDK today and I installed the SDK and everything just started working. I am a happy camper for a little while. A small step in developing iPhone software.

Hello KC!. I have a colleague and great friend for many years now in the UK and during my last visit a few weeks ago he mentioned that he is writing applications for the iPhone now. He has been through the entire process, submitted programs for approval, got rejected and is submitting again after a couple minor changes to his application.
ReplyDeleteHe has been through all of this and would be a good resource for you to chat with. Send me an email to my smu account and I'll forward you his details.
Karl
Thanks, I will send you an email.
